Random things:
1. Why can't more employers allow their workers to do their jobs at home if it is feasible for them to do so? This will lessen the number of cars on the road at any given time, allow parents to spend more time with their children, workers can get work done when they work best (for instance some people like myself work best at night). There are many other positive aspects toward allowing workers to choose to work from home. One issue that could come up is teamwork, but using a program much like Blackboard will allow for people to work together while in different physical locations.
2. With more people using the internet and writing blogs, Facebook posts, etc. why can't people understand the difference between "choose" vs "chose" and "loose" vs "lose?" You "lose" weight in order for for your trousers to become "loose." There is a difference.
3. Why do people put so much faith in television medical personalities like Dr. Oz without researching for themselves using proper research strategies? Are we really that lazy?
Okay, so I'm bored now and trying to think of things to say.

New to Blogging!
Welcome to Random Ramblings; my name is Monica and I am a 27 year old living in Spanaway, Wa. Yes, it does rain as much as people say. As for this blog I currently do not have any set theme, nor do I intend have one. I am trying this blog thing out as a way to put my thoughts out there. I thought of doing a vlog on Youtube, but I do not have a webcam and I am still shy about putting a face to the statements. I'll work on that more later. Anyways, hope you enjoy the posts, and even if you don't no harm done. :) In fact if you see any errors in my posts please let me know (I'll decide if I'm going to retract any statements or not).
More about me: I was born in Seattle, Wa and have lived in the Pacific Northwest for the entire time (minus about 3 months in Southern California) I went to Maywood Elementary School (1st-3rd grades), Woodmoor Elementary (4th-6th grades), Northshore Junior High (7th & 8th Grades)--Bothell, Wa schools, Auburn Riverside High School (1st semester of 9th grade), Ferrucci Junior High (last few months of 9th grade), and finally I graduated in 2001 from Puyallup High School. I graduated from Tacoma Community College in 2006 and from The Evergreen State College in 2009. I am currently living at home with my mom and her husband figuring out what I want to do with my life.
I am currently waiting for the man I love to return from Afghanistan (as well as my 20 year old sister) so we can go on vacation and hopefully figure out a way to be closer, whether that be living together or me finding a roommate close to the base he is stationed at (Pendleton).
Okay, so I'm getting rather tired and I'm certain that I've bored most of you with this drivel, but this blog is mostly a sounding board and I wanted to add some things in case people do a search for certain schools, etc. Also, as you notice I do tend to get very verbose, but that's because I prefer to provide my readers with all the details, rather than risk misunderstandings.
Finally, I hope to cover the ridiculousness of games such as Farmville, Mafia Wars, etx. as well as the proliferation of virtual cash (such as with the previously mentioned games) and virtual goods.
Until next time....
